Hubby and I were a tiny bit old fashioned about raising the kids. Other than that. He didn't care if I got a job, and worked. Where I work now is very male dominated business.
Define old fashioned. It's not like I specifically chose to work here because of the single men. I'm certainly not going to quit my job because a wandering penis might tempt me back towards a life of sin. It wasn't my choice and now that I have a choice, I've sworn off men. The thought of being with one makes me sick. I'm friendly to my coworkers, talk about their families, kids, ask about their pets, whatever, but when they try to hit on me, they get a polite but firm no thank you.

Do you live in the bible belt in a smallish town?
No. I live outside of Nashville. I don't know if that is considered the Bible belt or not. I don't exactly know where that is. It's a busy area so there are all kinds of people.
Keywords. "Outside of nashville"

Well, we're just outside of the city limits but not quite into the suburbs. We're far enough away that the rent is a little cheaper.

We were old fashioned in the way of me staying home and taking care of the kids. Something we had discussed before having Kidlet. It worked for us. I also stated it didn't bother him when I worked. I'm also friendly with my co-workers, which are heavily male. We discuss all kinds of things. No issues with a "wandering penis" tempting me either. If a guy tries to flirt, I will turn them down. I will admit since being a widow. I do miss the physical touch. But I'm not interested in dating.
The oranges of the island are like blazing fire
Amongst the emerald boughs
And the lemons are like the paleness of a lover
Who has spent the night crying.

My soul was ripped to shreds on 10/27/14.. I miss you!

I dealt with enough physical touches before leaving home so I don't really care for it at all. What I really want is friends and some kind of support system. I finally managed to find my sister and she's wanting me to move where she is. Otherwise, I'm good with my dog for companionship.

Tennessee is definitely part of the bible belt.  Full of good 'ole boys who think like that.  Infuriating, isn't it?

Do you live in the bible belt in a smallish town?

It sure is. Is Georgia in the Bible belt too because I got a lot of crap with all 3 of my pregnancies for being unmarried. One of my customers left me a note about how she wasn't going to tip me and support my sins or some BS, along with a pamphlet from a church.

Georgia is in the bible belt too.
