Best Vacations?
« on: May 29, 2018, 07:38:13 am »
I keep getting reminded on FB of my vacation last year. DH and I went to the Dominican Republic for a week and it was THE BEST VACATION we've ever been on. I can't wait to go back and maybe take the kids...maybe. LOL.

What is the best vacation you've taken?

we had a blast in key west. I think we will go to Dominican next year,  it's pretty cheap to go there.

It really was. We paid $3k for the two of us, including airfare. It was an all inclusive. The excursions were super cheap too. We went Zip-lining in the mountains and did an introductory scuba diving which included 2 dives, one off of Catalina.

Key West is on our list of places to go. This year we are doing a small family reunion vacation for DH's family in Orlando. It'll be fun but not quite as relaxing.

I only travel in the U.S.  We have been to a lot of great places.  Las Vegas was our first trip, it was just the two of us.  After that was all family trips. Wisconsin dells, sesame street park, Hershey world, Indianapolis, Louisville, Cedar point, Denver and Chicago.

Ok you sure you wanna know?

I am from Austria.  My husband is from the Bahamas.  So obviously lots of Austria vacations, which included Czech Republic and Germany.

We've been on quite a few cruises.  My favorite stop was Antigua.

We've been to Disney World 8 or 9 times (mostly Christmas).

I've been to NYC twice.

I've been numerous places in Canada.

Cuba

England

Florida

Colorado ski vacations every year as a teenager.

Guatemala

We do a lot of traveling in the USA too! We would love to travel more overseas.

We've been to WA, OR, CA, FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, MD, KY, TN, NY, PA. Need to move out toward the Southwest/Midwest now. I've been up to the northeast but that was just me and my dad last fall. So I'd like to take the kids up that way too. We love to road trip so all the places we've been have been within a decent distant from where we live.
